Here are some action shots of us going through the "rock garden" where we caught some of the best rapids, and I think where we hit a rock going sideways that knocked Molly over, thankfully into the raft:

The river was really high and there were definitely some awesome rapids. Last year it was pretty low and we got caught on rocks a bunch of times, but we didn't really have to worry about that this time. It was super fun, but my pants definitely got wet even through my splash gear and my booties didn't zip up so they were full of freezing water, so it also felt really good to get home afterwards and put on warm, dry clothes. Then we went to Kip's and had a huge, delicious hot meal and afterwards I went back and had a very long, toasty nap. Overall it was a great day. Not a lot of people can say they've been rafting in a snowstorm, but I have to say I'm pretty proud that I can say that now.
Other than that, we've just been working a lot and trying to either rest or have a good time when we're not working our butts off. Open mic night is every Wednesday and we've been going to that, which has been great fun as always. Lots of dancing and good times. There was supposed to be live music last night but we showed up and found out it had been cancelled, which was a bummer because we don't have to work until noon today, so it was a perfect time to be able to go out and have a great time and not have to worry about being at work first thing in the morning. Oh well, there is plenty of live music to come. We're working noon to possibly midnight today and then a full day tomorrow, so I am very much looking forward to my day off on Monday. And then this show opens on Friday and Bohb said we will probably be getting TWO days off after that, so that will be quite luxurious and lovely. And much needed--and deserved. This show has been rather soul-sucking. But the next show looks like it should be a breeze so that will be a nice change for all of us.
I suppose that is about all I can think of for now. At some point I'll post pictures of the shop and the set and stuff so you all can see what it is that I do all day and where I do it and whatnot. And maybe tell you a little more in detail about what the summer schedule is like. It's a little bit insane. For now I am going to make a delicious breakfast to get me through the day and hopefully get ready for the work ahead of me. I hope you all have a lovely weekend and I will try to appear on here a little more often.
